Thank you to everyone who has so far submitted their interest in supporting NYA. We’re very happy and humble to have received so much interest and messages of support.
As previously mentioned, we are looking for an organised, highly driven and dedicated individual to help run and manage Unit 9 Gallery. This includes programming the exhibition schedule, curating shows, meeting and greeting, and responding to exhibition enquiries. This will be the primary role, but other duties will include social media and promotion of Unit 9, arranging collection and drop off of works, cataloging and being the point of call for the gallery.
We invite you to submit a statement of interest via our contact form on our Contact page, under the heading ‘Join the Team’ if you would like to be considered for the position. Please tell us a little about yourself, your interest and/or involvement within the arts and why you are an outstanding candidate.
Qualities we are looking for include;
- Strong organisational skills
- Highly motivated
- Can work on their own initiative
Unfortunately, this position is unpaid, but does cover expenses, with the potential of future income. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference and bring something new and different to a local town. We have had nothing but encouragement since starting this venture, and now need to take a strong hold of the tools and opportunity in front of us to continue to build, create and inspire. If you think you are able to help us grow, we look forward to hearing from you.
Closing date for submissions is Sunday 31st of January 2016. Candidates selected for interview will be contacted in the first week of February.
